Events
Changing the Chemistry has a unique approach in that we share the responsibility to help each other, volunteering our time and skills in a peer-to-peer support network. We discuss and share insights into current boardroom issues across private, public and voluntary sectors, drawing on internal and external advice and speakers.
As part of this commitment members and alumni give their time to a variety of events from networking and informal support to events with guest speakers whose own experience is shared in support of our stated aim of boosting board effectiveness through diversity.
- The target group and the graduate group meet monthly to share experiences and best practice.
- There is a regular social event for members to exchange ideas and to network in an informal setting.
There are regular training and information events to help members to become board-ready and to help those already on boards to become even more effective board members. In the recent past we have offered events including, Exploring Charity Governance, Investment Trust Boards, What a board should expect of the auditors, Trustee Governance and many events where successful individuals have shared their board journeys.
Most events are run for the members of CtC. For details of these please see the Members’ events section accessed here. However from time to time, events are run with other organisations for a specific reason or cause and these are often open to the public and for no charge. Details of any such event will be available on the website here.
