The April Graduate Group meeting for CtC members with board roles will take place on Wednesday 18 April 2018 at 6.15pm at Remarkable, Apex 3, 95 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh, EH12 5HD (NOTE THIS IS A CHANGED VENUE).  (For regulars, please note this is the third, and not fourth, Wednesday of the month).

This session’s theme is: Beyond the annual staff survey: what are the board’s responsibilities for people and culture?  Most organisations will say that people are their greatest asset, and certainly in the UK economy, with its dependence on sectors requiring highly skilled and motivated staff, this will be the case within most public, private and third sectors organisations.  This session will share experiences and facilitate discussion around the board’s role in relation to people – how do you assist in setting culture and inspiring an executive leadership team, show leadership and authenticity, what metrics should a board see, what are responsibilities when things go wrong, who’s responsibility is it to look ahead to the workforce needs and aspirations in five and ten years time?

We are still finalising our facilitators for this evening, and will release further details in due course.

There are two tickets types available when you register – one for attending the event in person, and one for those who intend to ‘dial in’ using our conference call option (details will be provided nearer the time of the event).
